Archipelagos Hotel. 5*, originally designed by Kydoniatis Architects and constructed by Betanet SA requested our collaboration regarding the landscape design. The original architectural design idea, the Village Concept was adopted and evolved with a modern touch. Public areas with openings and seating areas were combined with main circulation routes; open vistas and focal point development was our design principle.  Detaching the welcome and gathering areas from the main housing areas was conducted by placing a pond with a central water element and  a swimming pool. The two areas were connected with a pedestrian route and a scenic wall was used to direct the vistas. Shading was performed with a combination of traditional wooden pergolas and a sequence of tents; the tents were design to resemble sailing imagery.
