The Kefalari apartment
A Full Renovation
A spacious apartment of approx. 220 sq.m on the top floor of an 80’s apartment building, was our challenge for a full scale renovation. The extremely low height ceilings with beams hanging even lower, together with a client request for a full HVAC system was a problem. We began the project designing the suspended ceilings – our idea was to produce an illusion of a fluid ceiling ignoring and concealing the traditional beam-slab structure. We designed a special profile bringing beam and slab together. The new ceiling joins living room with dining room in a uniform space. Especially for the dining room, a special construction was designed – a service window that can open and close according to client’s needs. All bathrooms were designed to provide a feeling of spaciousness and luxury. Marble and marble tiles were combined with hidden LED stripes. A small but fully functional open-style dressing room was placed right next to a mirror faced closet leading to the master bathroom. Sub-floor heating system was install in all spaces – especially for the master bathroom, heating is placed also on the walls.
The project started in December 2022 and was delivered in July 2024.
