The private residence is located on a steep Penteli slope facing the entire Attica Plain with a 180 degree vista and the Acropolis as the main focal point. The client request was to come up with a set of separate, fully autonomous apartments, each one with an access to the stepped garden. The approximately 800 sq. m. expands in 4 levels, with a spacious basement opening to the street level. Ground floor is cover with natural stone in order to be clearly separated form the rest of the building. We took all adjacent properties and orientation into consideration and proposed a modern style building in a corner geometry opening up to one side and developing a visual barrier to the other side. The considerable inclination was treated in principle like a renaissance vista garden with cascading levels to end up in a huge plateau. Water drainage system was designed from the very beginning and  the main stairwell is a prominent volume covered in decorative bricks. The building permit issuing is currently in progress and the construction phase is due to commence by October 2024.
